TV and Radio Awards
David started in print journalism before working at Manchester's legendary Piccadilly Radio as a reporter. He then moved to Granada Television and has since worked for independent TV production company Title Role. He has hundreds of producer and director TV credits - from I Swear I Was There to Crimes That Shook Britain. His run of awards began in 1990 with his coverage of the Strangeways’ riot in Manchester. He’s received five Royal Television Society Awards, mainly for his work for ITV. Most recently his Radio 4 documentary The Abuse Trial won both a Rose d’Or and a New York Festival Award.
